Really interesting idea. However, I don't think it's possible because as far as I know this is not how USB to Ethernet adapters work. They're a means of adding Ethernet connectivity to a device that doesn't have any natively. Like maybe you have an ultrabook laptop with no Ethernet port but it has a couple USB ports so you can spare one. The adapter does not transmit a USB signal over the network, and if you connect it to the flight stick it's not going to do anything at all.

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.

That is kind of what I was thinking, but not trying to break the wheel if something exists already and not trying to buy a 160 software that can do it but need 2 pc to make it work. I was looking at maybe using a raspberry pi as the network connection and sharing it that way using usb/io which is still an option. just wanted to make sure first though

I think they make wireless USB extenders. If not a USB C cable could possibly do it like what Linus did for his home server

I'd really like to understand what it is you are trying to do. You say your "modem" doesn't have a USB port and its in another part of the house. And you have another computer with a flight stick that you want to use to play a game on another PC. My head is spinning.

Because of young children my pc is in my basement, which is fine if I'm playing down there, but got oculus quest 2 as a gift and have it so I can connect and play vr through my network.  Idea is that I could stay upstairs so my wife does not feel like I'm hiding in the basement after the kids are asleep.  The vr part is set up and working, but would like to play with my hotas if possible. But need a powered usb solution that is able to share the hotas to the pc which is on a different floor without having to put holes in the wall ideally.
