Modifying Windows - What shall i do next?

So i am modifying Windows to my liking, addressing the biggest issues that Windows has.

My question is what can i do more?

Here is what i have done:

Updates no longer force themselves upon you,

Semi-automatic Updates can be used - Updates install themselves only when you press the update button in settings.

Updates install bug fixes and security updates only.

Manual updates can be used.

Notifications behavior changed since they are annoying (also removed from task bar) 😄

Bloatware Completely removed.

RAM usage significantly trimmed down.

I have done major overhaul to the UI:

Windows 7 Start Menu is back:

Windows Aero is back:

Search in Windows Explorer now has search filters and many other modifications:

Made Aero work with Chromium based browsers:

I would LOVE the windows UI to be smarter. If my mouse in in an area, likely it's because it's there for a reason.
For instance, if my mouse is in the system tray and I'm right clicking on an icon to get to it's context menu. THIS IS NOT THE TIME FOR A F**CING NOTIFICATION!.
I don't want to clear every notification just to access or do something in the system tray.

Especially if it's a notification that I want to interact with.

The Windows UI should pause notifications if my mouse is interacting with anything in the system tray.

Until the next big upgrade.

It's LTSB,so no big updates.

Since it's based on a build from late 2018 and it's LTSB - You get support, security updates and bug fixes until late 2028.

You can acquire it legally here:

Yeah, but for that you need to

- be a business

- buy at least 5 licenses iirc

If you can't get it through your work place (best option) then there are retailers that legally sell them.

Buying them legally is very expensive, more than $200 per key.

If you can't get LTSC 2019 then Windows Server 2019 is a good alternative, you can easily get an evaluation ISO (can be upgraded to full) legally straight from Microsoft.

I think I saw some software detecting it and asking to buy a commercial license.

Also heard that LTS* may have issues with new hw, drivers. At least if you like stay on e.g. 2016 for 3+ years and expect RTX to work.

Anyway, for me Linux is a much better alternative. 🧔

The thing is that there is a 2019 version, which do support RTX,i even tried it myself.

Drivers may be a problem in the future.
