when i scaned the qr code it directed me to this

Capture.thumb.PNG.4863654f6d11b51eced884fc8d66631f.PNG

i guess that ok right?

have you tried to returned it,get your money back?

anyway it's not that good of a thermal paste i would go for noctua nt-h2 or Hydronaut ,Kryonaut from Thermal Grizzly which are available on amazon.eg especially if you wanted to change paste of your gpu

Yup, yours looks legit.

Actually mx-4 is pretty good. Compared to noctua, it's way cheaper and the temperature difference would be like 2-3 degrees.

Same for thermal grizzly, but this one has a major drawback, it dries out at 80 degrees. MX-4 can do 150 degrees continuous use. Thermal grizzly is rly great if you're into sub-zero cooling.

will i didn't see much difference in temps between mx4 and a generic thermal paste i hope mx5 would be better,as for the drying out issues no i haven't had any with noctua nt-h1 or nt-h2 (gpu or cpu )and you're right about Thermal Grizzly but it's also helpful if you're in a hot room without air conditioner like i'm

Noctua's paste is rly good It's just way more expensive than other almost-equally-good pastes. TG is the one that dries out. And actually no if you are in a hot environment, it's more likely that you will hit 80° or above so it would be way better to use other pastes in this case.

Where did you get ht-h2 btw? 😂 Couldn't find any when I was buying!

Actually I've ran MX2 and MX4 for subzero stuff and both did well, I've had better luck with it at subzero than with Noctua NT-H1.
I don't use TG or anything related to that product line, there have been too many issues about it scratching a CPU lid/CPU cooler for me to even consider it - Not wanting my KPC T-Rex pot to wind up gouged on the bottom too.

If you cant find legit thermal paste then just buy the chinese stuff

Gd900 is a pretty good thermal paste, from what ive seen its comparable to arctic mx4

Agree, this random "TG-1" actually does a lot better than Asus's stock paste. About 5-10 less degrees with my i7-9750h. Dunno how well it compares to the MX-4 though.

Just did some research, gonna correct myself.

Although this paste does show better results than Asus's stock paste, it seems that this is all just a Chinese rip from another brand named Nox that was the first to name a thermal paste TG-1.

The ripped version's package claims that it has a thermal conductivity of 9.8W/mK (very unlikely according to my temps btw), while Nox says 2.5W/mK.

Imma change my reviews right away if possible. Busted!

I got a tube of fake MX-4. It's very obvious if you have used genuine MX-4 before, it squeezes out from the tube and spreads very easily. The fake stuff is much more viscous and difficult to spread.
