Can I get Dolby Atmos if i connect directly to the Soundbar even if my TV don't support it?

Planning to buy a Dolby Atmos Soundbar. My TV don't support Dolby Atmos. Can i get Atmos output of I connect my Bluray player directly to the Soundbar through HDMI?

I would think so as long as your film or Blu-ray player supports it.

Player Supports Dolby TrueHD and the Soundbar should decode the Atmos Metadata
