in "video compression as fast as possible", Taran said that image.png.52ccfedb32ef2f2787a9d9890ce33377.png"mpeg is sometimes called motion jpeg"

this is completely incorrect. doing 5 second google search reveals that mpeg and motion jpeg are 2 different things

i know this video was made for people that know nothing about compression, but how hard is to do a proper research?!

And if you do another quick 5 second Google search, you'd learn that MPEG is extended from JPEG. As an added bonus, MPEG and MJPEG are pretty damn similar and you can just about convert from MPEG-1 to MJPEG with very few errors, given it's done correctly. So technically correct, but also not.

Look, I get not everyone infers very well, but when someone is talking about MPEG, it's pretty fuckin safe to assume they're talking about the file format, not the group behind it.

Just thought I'd give you a free life tip there.

mpeg-2, mpeg-4... are types of compression, produced by mpeg group. file formats end on .mpg.

mjpeg is called mjpeg, and it often times has .mov extension, and its ancient
