I dont understand the question. You need extension cable if you want to extent

Assuming they're made correctly, then no. They should use a keyed connector that will physically prevent it from being plugged into a PCIe power connector. 

 

The wiring should be 1 to 1, so technically it would work in that sense, but the connector should be keyed differently.

you can use it if they were designed as extension cables for the GPU in the first place, otherwise i am going to say no and probably bettet not to try as you may screw up one or both cables. there are companies that make extension cables for all the cables in a computer. this is one company i know of. Performance-PCs.com Homepage (performance-pcs.com)

mb 8pin and gpu 8pin well they are the same connector it has a mix of square and o for its pins and the mb 8 pin wont fit in a gpu and vice versa as the shapes wont match up.
