DripGodPoseidon

The Ryzen 5 5600x, i7 10700k and i9 9900k are the same price in my country but i dont know what to get.

i saw benchmark videos online and it showed that the i7 10700k is the best of them all, but i heared that amd is catching up to intel. So what should i get?

5600x is a slightly faster CPU than 10700K & 9900K.

10700K and 9900K are essentially the exact same CPU.

5600x is 6 core with 12 threads.

10700K + 9900K are 8 cores and 16 threads.

Check price difference on motherboards

B550 or X570 for 5600x

Z390 for 9900K

Z490 for 10700K

As I said the 5600x is slightly faster but depending on what you will use your PC for then the extra 2 cores on 10700K and 9900K could be a good idea.

If the PC is only for gaming then you should go for a 5600x with B550 motherboard

5600x is 6 core 12t,
10700k is 8core 16t
9900k is 8core 16t(do not buy no upgrade path)

what are your needs?
5600x overall has the best gaming performance and the best upgrade path,
10700k has slightly better performance than 9900k,

the 5600x is overall the best option for gaming but if you also want to do some multi threaded tasks , you might want a the 10700k.

If you could clarify your needs it would be easier to suggest

I'd say AMD. You can find a cheaper motherboard with much more upgradablilty. But if you're doing more CPU intensive work like 3D rendering, video editing, etc, go with the 10700k. It will hopefully be more upgradeable, but I'd still go Ryzen. It has better gaming performance, and all the pros I just mentioned earlier.

haha broskie like dab my guy

All these CPUs have hyperthreading

So it is 6c/12t vs 8c/16t

I do agree that you should choose 10700K over 9900K but it depends on motherboard price

You should also look at something like Ryzen 3700x which comes with the better stock cooler than the one on 6 core processors.

You get almost as much performance as the 5600x and those Intel cpus but they should be much cheaper.

Getting the 9900k would be a z390 mobo and there  is no upgrade for that, if he gets a z490 or z590 for the 10700k, they would an upgrade path to 11th gen or maybe 12th gen(probably not)

Indeed.

I was just thinking that because the 9900K & Z390 are expired products then it could be possible to find a good mobo with a big price discount.
