Does the box of the motherboard state that it's 2000 or 3000 gen ready? A320 boards are first gen, while the 2200G is second gen, so the BIOS can potentially be too old.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

The BIOS should be up to date then. What are the symptoms of the non-start?

Do any fans light up and spin? Also, that motherboard has LEDs that help point to what is causing issues. Are any of these LEDs lit up? They're just above the 24 pin connector.

@Fasauceome Any idea if a dead CMOS battery would cause fans to act weird too or no? I'm wondering because of the potential age of the board (OP, not saying it's not brand new if it is, it could have sat on a shelf for a while)

I doubt that would happen, worst symptoms of a dead battery tend to be no saving BIOS settings and wrong internal clock.

If the fans twitch and nothing happens, no lights etc, the PSU feels like the most likely culprit. Whether it's dead or something is hooked up incorrectly is a different matter.

I've tried the paperclip method and it turned on then and i made sure that the 2 main cables are plugged in all the way

it's possible something isn't inserted all the way. possibly ram, or CPU.

Also, is this system assembled outside the case, on a cardboard box?

I've tried that a few times and nothing has changed

then I would start by guessing defective components. Either returning to the seller and getting a replacement or starting the RMA process with AMD and MSI would be the way to go.
