So Im planning to get a new keyboard but since I don't want to disturb the people living with me, I want them quiet. Ive tried looking for MX Red Silent or Black Silent but I'm not sure whats the best out there. I have mostly Corsair setup so Corsair would be preferred. If its a different brand, hopefully without any major brand showoff. Do you guys have any recommendations?

Well in terms of quietness, it goes linear < tactile < clicky (aka red < brown < blue).

Rubber o-rings also help remove a good portion of  bottoming-out noise.

If you are looking at Corsair, then variations of the k70 are usually most popular.

I think Reds (linear) and Browns (tactile) are the same "volume". They do have slightly different actuation forces though, with the Red being a bit lighter

They are similar  (i.e. browns are much closer to reds than blues). However the tactile bump of browns is at least *noticable* for me.

That being said, browns are my favourite, so I'm a little biased.

ms cherry brown are barely more tactile than reds which are not tactile ... cherry browns fells like a scratchy reds ... those are quite the worst linear i've ever felt.  Also red and browns are not silent switches, they are non clicky but they don't have dampers inside the switches destined to silence them.  Rubber o-ring do a really poor job at silencing switches.

As for the cherry silent switches those are specifically made to absorb the sound with rubber dampers inside ... it dampens the downstroke and the upstroke ... it makes them a bit mushy but it's the price to pay for silent switches.  The choice between reds and black is up to you, those are two linear switches, the black being heavier than the reds cause the black have a stiffer spring.

Personally I would stay away from corsair keyboards, they are quite overpriced for what they are offering and for the same price you can get a really nice hotswappable keyboard with a set of kailh silent box pink (linear) or silent box brown (tactile) and double shot pbt keycaps.  That or gateron silent lineup.

Corsair doesn't really have any nice silent keyboards. If you want silent linears you could check out the Bobagum switches, and if you want silent tactiles you could check out the Boba U4. Please don't get o-rings. They don't dampen the upstroke at all, and they will just make your switches feel mushy.

If you are fine with 75%, and depending on your budget, the GMMK Pro is available for preorder, and should be good value, at $170. Just add the switches, stabilisers and some keycaps. It supports QMK, so there's no need to run any software on your PC.

I'm far from on all the ins and outs of keyboards, and I won't disagree about what's been said about Corsair keyboards, but they aren't horrible. I recently bought the Corsair K60 Low Profile and I'm loving it probably more than any keyboard I've had. It's a basic, no bells and whistles KB. I mainly bought it because. 1. since it's Corsair RGB and all other RGB in the system except gfx card is Corsair everything syncs up through icue ( and I'm weirs and like icue) and 2. price.

The switches are Cherry MX Low Profile Speed. I find them much more quiet than the MX browns on my son's k70 and the Romer-g switches on my previous Logitech KB. I really enjoy typing on them.

I'm certain there's much better and more quiet available, but this fits me.

This is a great post and if you don't like bobagums you can also get silent alpaca switches.
