Graphics card upgrade

Vastery

Currently my specs are

I5 4590

G.Skill RipJawsX 16gb (2x8) cl10

Asus H81M-Plus

XFX Rx 560 4gb

And a ZEUS 600w 80+ bronze

Was wondering if I take a Zotac GTX 1060 3gb single fan or an Gigabytes dual fan (both eat about 120w) will I be able to power them?

My current gpu eats about 75w.

Yes, not a problem. Consider a 2 Fan variant for quieter operation.

The power is good but trust me on this you don’t want any closer to modern games on a 3GB card so look for 6GB at minimum

Reminder⚠️

I'm just speaking from experience so what I say may not work 100%

Please try searching up the answer before you post here but I am always glad to help

You have more than enough power for either card I would aim for a six gig personally.

Im not really planning to play on 4k on high settings, 1080p would be just fine at high or medium. I've been watching some benchmarks on 3gb vs 6gb and they preform the same on 1080p.

If 2 people tell you the same thing, you may want to look into it instead of dismissing it. 3GB is simply not enough for some games even at 1080p.

Jay literally made a video about this less than 24 hours ago.

My GTA V struggles at medium 1080p, warzone playable on low, cold war unplayable

How about a sapphire single fan rx 570 4gb, it runs well in newer games but eats 150w?

The bear minimum for it is an 500w psu

The minimum recommendation is often much higher than what you actually need. With your CPU around 80 watts, and an RX 570 at around 150, that means you'd only need like 300 watts to power the whole system

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad
