HP printer scan via IP not working anymore

WhitetailAni

Back when I was using a Celeron N2808 with 4GB of RAM (it was a pretty snappy Chromebook too), I scanned documents by typing in the printer's IP address into the search bar - 192.168.1.107.

I'd like to use that again, since I don't have to go through the hassle of figuring out what the HP login is, but whenever I try, I just get this:

But on every other system that I test, it works fine - whether it be my brother's Chromebook, my mom's laptop, or even my Minecraft server.

Each one is using a different way to connect - one 2.4 GHz WiFi (5 just fails), one 5 GHz WiFi (because speed) and one Ethernet (because who uses WiFi for a server).

But on my machine, it fails.

Does anyone have any theories as to why?

my first hunch is maybe a browser plugin is causing the issue, if every other device does it just fine.

what happens if you try using another browser?

Well, it works now.

Apparently you have to install HP Smart, and then it works.

EDIT:
Now I get a different image!
Instead of plain text, I get this:

Tried Edge, same thing.

My dad thought it might be Bitdefender, so I excluded 192.168.1.107, but same "System Error" error.
