Do membrane keyboards have n key rollover?

shaun_idk

I'm thinking of getting the steelseries apex 3 because i prefer membrane over mechanical. But unlike the razer cynosa v2 it didn't state whether the keyboard has n key rollover.

Does the steelseries apex 3 have n key rollover?

Thanks for the help

No, as that is an inherent limitation to membrane keyboards, they cannot have more than 2KRO. "Membrane" is just how it senses the keystrokes, it has absolutely nothing to do with how it feels or sounds to type on.

The German website states that it has 24 keys rollover.

Usually, with cheaper keyboards, you have your rollover limited to 6 keys due to USB.

True, hardware n-key rollover can only be achieved via PS/2.

Unless you're playing a splitscreen game on a full size keyboard with two players mashing buttons (4 hands), 6 Key rollover is more than enough.

The worst thing I could imagine is playing a FPS game and walking (key 1) to the front and left (key 2 and 3) while reloading (key 4) and jumping (key 5) at the same time.

This would utilize all fingers and it's not possible to press more keys unless you're 6 fingered.
