Is there a way to over clock cpu and ram through the tampa 2 . The bios is not very clear .

My ram arrived a couple weeks ago and I want to get the best out of my new extra ram , I went on the bios for tampa 2 mother board and didn't see a overclock option . I do have omen command center but when I went to overclocking tab it wasn't loading because my wifi was out  , I went on it 2 days later and it just disappeared (overclock tab)

There is a really good chance that you wont have any overclocking if this "tampa2" is a prebuilt even if you have a Z series chipset.

Do you have an unlocked K series CPU?

In theory the Z370 series chipset supports CPU overclocking as long as HP did not lock this capability.

The ability to overclock can be blocked at anytime by a Windows or BIOS update. Even if the Tampa 2 could be overclocked, that feature might be disabled now. There is no way to know for sure what is possible until you install an unlocked K series CPU and do some testing. What CPU do you have?

Did you update the BIOS? Everyone likes to update the BIOS but this can cause more problems than it solves. On some motherboards, it might not be possible to go back to the previous BIOS version. Features that once existed can suddenly disappear.

Some Tampa 2 motherboards only wired the PCI-E slot for x8 instead of x16 which might limit maximum performance of your GPU. Run CPU-Z or GPU-Z and see if your GPU is running at x8 or x16. The slot for the GPU is missing half of the wires so this problem cannot be fixed.
