It's because everyone needs to remote learn, remote work, remote meet.

Prices were even worse in March of 2020.

Okay.........so in 2019 I bought this webcam for £27, a friend of mine says they want a webcam like mine, but the price is now £107.99??

 

Are these prices also related to shortages caused from the Graphics Card buying craze?

Related to graphics cards? No. It will be related to everyone buying webcams to work from home and video call friends and family.

I cant think of why GPU sales would have an effect on webcams. If i had to guess, it would be in direct relation to a massive influx of people going to work from home and telecommuting.

If he can't get a webcam, he can use his phone as a webcam, I personally use DroidCam, it's free, but has a pro version with some more features
