Need help with choosing a monitor

Pancakeman
Go to solution Solved by Pancakeman,

I think I'm gonna get this one: https://www.1a.lv/p/iiyama-g-master-g2770hsu-b1/al20?cat=2tg&index=9

Thank you guys for helping me 🙂

It's my birthday today and I got 400 euros from my grandma, I've been looking at getting a 144 or 240hz monitor but as the 240hz monitors are a bit too expensive I'm looking for a 144hz. But I can't decide witch monitor to get.

These are my options: https://www.1a.lv/c/datortehnika-preces-birojam/monitori-personalie-datori-un-ups/monitori/2tg?f=hcZfd&pub=400&rf=2k_f144
(The webpage is in my native language sry 😕)

I'm kind of looking at the Asus VG248QG, but idk, should I just get a cheaper 144hz monitor and buy some other stuff I wanted or spend some extra?

I'm buying a 144hz monitor bc I feel like 60hz is too slow. It feels like when I'm playing csgo, I'm lagging bc I watch mid doors on dust II, I see him peeking me and shoot at him but I die before my shot counts. At least that's how I feel. Like I'm seeing him peek me and me shooting but die right as I click my mouse button. idk, anyway if it isn't the 60hz monitor at least ill get to feel 144hz witch going from 30 to 60hz felt awesome, going from 60 to 144, I think, is gonna feel amazing.

Can your graphics card reach 240hz? If not, don't buy 240hz monitor. Can it reach 144Hz or more than that? If yes, go for the 144hz monitor.

But if your gpu can't go to 144 Hz, don't buy 144 Hz monitor, just go for a 60 Hz monitor.

Yikes, did not even know they existed. Yes, if your gpu can handle around 75 or 100 fps, go for a 75 Hz monitor.

I don't think I need the 6g bc I don't plan to play any graphically intensive games.

It's an ips display, aren't TN better, for fps games?

nope TN's are budget monitors, VA is the middle ground, but IPS is the all-round best
