Weird question (i guess)

Go to solution Solved by soldier_ph,

If you or your Dad are tech savvy enough you could try and setup PiHole. You don't necessarily need a Raspberry Pi for that since you can also run the application in a Docker Container.

But as stated above you should not browse on sites which offer pirated content due to the risk of Viruses, Scams and Phishing attacks and of course it's illegal. But if you still wanna do that than at least make sure to use a VPN so you don't get a letter from your ISP.

So my dad opened up a movie site. And it had a ton of betting and casino ads. Loaded to the entire website. How to get rid of it?

Ask your dad for Netflix, Amazon video or Disney plus, rather than  streaming from pirated sources.

Well nothing is free, you pay by watching the ads on that pirated website that will install malicious virus to your browser.

Well not all movies are available on all streaming sites. I remember a time my brother and I wanted to watch some movies on Netflix, and from ALL the movies that we tried to search, practically none popped up (probably region locked but we didn't know what that was at the time).

So my verdict is that you should stick with Netflix despite the lack of certain movies. It'd be wayy better than getting your TV exposed to a number of viruses from pirated sites, especially getting hacked.

You can take a look at all of the Tech that I own and have owned over the years in my About Me section and on my Profile.

I'm Swiss and my Mother language is Swiss German of course, I speak the Aargauer dialect. If you want to watch a great video about Swiss German which explains the language and outlines the Basics, then click here.

If I could just play Videogames and consume Cool Content all day long for the rest of my life, then that would be sick.

Which means that you are asking ways to go around limitations of free service. Again, against our rules on piracy.
