What hardrive is in this iMac?

What was the original hardrive in this iMac late 2006 here's the model number  A1208 (EMC 2114).

it should take most 3.5" Drives. I'm not an expert on iMac's so I can't say with certainty if they have special sauce for which specific ones they like best, but with that tear down, you should be able to find the specific model HDD they used. An SSD would likely be a better upgrade path for this machine. Ideally getting one from the same brand should help reduce incompatibilities theoretically.

I can confirm that those take 3.5" SATA drives, as I've taken apart one of that family.

It will be mounted behind the screen, so you'll have to remove the front bezel, then the screen (don't break the display cable!), and then you'll have to do some finangling to get it out.

It's possible, though, don't worry.
