For ~$70 I think the MXL Tempo is a better choice for a USB condenser mic
The DG 5.1 doesn't have a great mic port (or rather, it's not really any better than the default microphone port on your on-board audio) nor does it supply phantom power, so if you want to use the sound card you'll be stuck with dynamics, so you're better off with USB mics for the most part unless you have some sort of interface. That said, you don't really need that much for Vent or Skype.
