For a person who purely wants to play games that is there dream. I could however suggest using a ryzen processor. Although a hundred dollars or so more expensive it will be much better in the long run aswell as with there backwards compatibility meaning easy upgrades in the future. I would suggest a Ryzen 7 5950x (i believe thats it) with a b550 Tomahawk, it might also be a suggestion to get a higher wattage PSU for future proofing and prevent any unwanted breakages.

Intel all the way for me. RAM configurations just work and real world performance there's little in it especially in gaming.

Intel i9-13900K - Gigabyte Aorus Z790 Elite DDR4 - Corsair Vengeance LPX 128GB DDR4 3200 C16 - Gigabyte Aorus Master RTX 4090 24GB - Corsair 4000D Airflow - 2x Samsung 980 Pro 1TB  - Corsair AX1600i 80 PLUS Titanium 1600W - Aorus FI27Q - Noctua NH-D15 running 3 fans (CPU) - 6 x NF-A12x25 (3 intake, 3 exhaust) - Aorus K1 - Aorus M5 - Aorus AMP500 - Aorus H5 - Corsair TC70 - Win 11 Pro

No such thing. If you mean R9 5950X then that is a bad suggestion. First off it is super expensive, and secondly a 16 core cpu makes no sense for a gaming pc.

Only thing I do not like is the 1080p monitor.  Go 1440p if 27".

I like the 10700k, or even just the 10600k.  The recommendation for a 5950x is mind boggling wrong for a gaming machine, as are the reasons behind it.

No opinion on the UPS, but I assume you have less than stable power so it's a good idea.

No... an 850w is more than fine already (for a 10700k and a 3070 even a 500-550w, or maybe even an 450w would work, a 650w would be perfectly fine), and please don't recommend a brand. Almost all brands have good and bad products. Recommend a specific product if possible.

What's your budget for the pc (Pc by itself, and the budget for the peripherals, or just include both, but please specify what you're talking about), including currency? What peripherals are you looking to purchase? Are you willing to wait for GPU prices to go down or are you willing to set up a bot (To try to buy a GPU as quickly as possible when they come back in stock)? Do you know specifically what you son wants to do? The build looks solid but depending on the budget and use case I think it can be improved.

I am NOT a professional and a lot of the time what I'm saying is based on limited knowledge and experience. I'm going to be incorrect at times.

Depends what your budget is, but a 27" 1440p 144Hz+ would be a good match for an RTX 3070. Or if you have the desk space a 34" 3440 x 1440 Ultrawide 120Hz+.

Have a look on sites like rtings, tftcentral and displayninja for reviews.
