Is CCleaner any good?

I'm wondering, is CCleaner any good? Would it be worth downloading or are there better alternatives?

As with any software, the answer is "it depends"

If you want a quick way to clean out temp files from multiple locations, then yeah, works fine for that.

Registry cleaning is a matter of hot debate, I have used MaceCraft's PowerTools in the XP days to great success (mainly to clean out leftover McAfee and Norton garbage)
