Hello 🙂

My RX570 just reached it's end today, after serving me for 5 years.

So, after i disconnected my gpu at my motherboard(b450 aorus pro - 7 months old) and put the hdmi cable on the back of the motherboard there's no display...but i can hear and felt my computer was already booted, i can even turn it off with the shortcut key (alt+f4+enter). So i was relieved that it was still running, but there is no display.

tried removing the CMOS battery for a couple of minutes to reset the bios and bios settings but still nothing.

can you please help?

PC specs;

Ryzen 7 3700x

B450 Aorus Pro Wifi

850watts corsair rm850

2X8gb ddr4 3200mhz ram

From what I am thinking it appears that the computer still sends signal to the GPU to display. Have you tried booting into safe mod? https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/start-your-pc-in-safe-mode-in-windows-10-92c27cff-db89-8644-1ce4-b3e5e56fe234

What CPU do you have?

This. Unless your CPU has an iGPU, the HDMI on the back of your motherboard does nothing.

Remember to either quote or @mention others, so they are notified of your reply

So, you're saying an APU can show the display, without using an external GPU.

And a normal CPU can't?

Some CPUs have a graphics card built-in, some don't, your CPU doesn't, so it can't display anything without an external graphics card

Dude your such a huge help.... I did search on it in the internet. And you're right.. it wouldn't display if i have no graphics card in my specific cpu.

Thank you very much. 😁

Now the only problem i must face is the availablity of the GPU, and also my budget...

My budget would 10,000php = 208usd

And i hope it would last 3yrs, if that's possible.

Yikes...

I can't vouch for your area, but here in USALand you won't get anything new for that. A GTX 1060 might be in that range....if you are lucky.
