So I started backing everything up last night, about 17 hours ago, and it hasn't really moved an inch since this morning. Is something wrong going on here? It should have been done by now. Should I just cancel it and start over?

Do you see disk io?

Just the back up feature that came with the O.S, where it says "go to backup and restore windows 7".

I mean, I have well over 500,000 files to back up in total. This is where it has been since I started it last night.

It appears so, usage rate is at 100% right now. I just restarted the back up process.

this is why u use a backup tool like macrium etc, it's really fast about an hour for 250GB or so (faster when everything is done with ssds)

I'd still actually recommend doing that as windows backup feature is not reliable at all in my experience (only used it once, did not work whatsoever)
