It should do this automatically. What is the virtual network adapter in the vm connected to?

Ah - I fixed it. I had to install the drivers for the network adapter via device manager. Thanks!

I have a Unraid VM and I am attempting to pass through a network card to run a game server on it. It is a Windows 10 VM, there is nothing on it at the moment because it has no internet so I can't download anything. I tried following the instructions from this forum post, but the virutal machine still didn't have ethernet. The network card shows up in device manager but its under other devices instead of network adapters where it is supposed to be.

Why do you want to pass a nic to the vm?

Just add the vm to use the virtual switch, and connect that virtual switch to the main nic.

I don't really know how to do that, so I figured it would be easier the other way. How do I do that?
