The main problem with 4K monitors is the problem with them being limited to 30Hz. Though the one you have linked is 120Hz.

Another problem is even if you had triple SLI Titan Black most likely you won't be playing any demanding games such as BF4 on max graphics at 60FPS.

Oh..... And that monitor isn't from a reputable brand, so you're going to have problems with build quantity and backlight bleeding.

Just wondering then, why such good amazon reviews? And ID care about 30 Hz, would not be gaming at 4k, it has better Hz when not a 4k.

Just read a review on Tweaktown on this monitor.

Seems like an exceptional buy for the price.

Of course, it's not perfect though.

TV are never good for gaming, they are slow. even if they say 120Hz they arent always actually that if you plug it into a computer

What? You make no sense. It doesn't know if it is a computer or not. Unless I user VGA, but that would just be sickening

actually the computer knows if its a tv or not, and if for example using a displayport cable to one of my monitors it reads it as a monitor and a tv, and if i pick the TV i cant go over 60Hz, and if i plug a tv in it wont see it as a computer screen and as such not allow over 60Hz from the ones i have tested anyhow(my monitor does 144Hz)

Can be different for different TV's tho im sure.

The point is, most, or all TV's that are 120hz or higher never actually accept a signal that is that refresh rate. Even a top of the line Samsung 240hz television can't accept anything higher than a 60hz input. The higher refresh rate is all done internally to enhance the image.

If things are the same as its 50" big brother, this TV actually does have true 120Hz, and takes 120fps from the source.  The main problem with TVs for gaming is input lag.  TVs do some internal image processing that monitors don't do, which can cause a noticeable delay.  I am not sure how bad it is on the Seiki ones though.  Overall I've heard pretty good things about those TVs though.

The 120hz is only applicable when it's in 1080p mode.

otherwise it's 30hz with horrible input lag

PCPER.com's review of this TV

well it's the 50 inch but it still applies to the 39 inch :)

I know it's a long video but it's worth a watch IMHO!
