What? I put thermal paste (liquid metal) into my new cooler and it DISINTEGRATED INTO A MUD LIKE THING. What?

Isn't it literally on the packaging to NOT use on aluminum?

F for that heatsink. Could have been worse and make sure you get all that liquid metal cleaned up and around the socket is sealed before using it again.

I finished cleaning it up, and the computer WORKS (wow), but ill need to get a new cooler (free because amazon), this went MUCH better than it should have, lol.

The CPU did have a slightly bent pin, but its works

With that much metal rolling around, I'm surprised that it didn't leak onto the socket or the surrounding area. I guess you got lucky.
