  1. From a business perspective, yes flip it and make some cash. The struggle is real out there. From a tech enthusiast perspective, if you sell it at scalper prices then you are no better than them and contributing to problem. Again, the struggle is real out there.
  2. What motherboard, CPU, etc.? Helps to include this so other can google an image to better assist. Are you talking about the screws on the AMD CPU cooler? They might be captive screws which is why they will completely unscrew but not come completely off. I would make sure all 4 screws are completely unscrewed and then just lift the cooler off the mobo.
  3. I did dabble around on that website and got some help. I am just not very savvy when it comes to TVs so thought I would put it out into the community. Thank you @SolarNova
  4. I am trying to help a friend locate a specific TV: TCL 55” Class 6-Series 4K UHD Mini-LED QLED https://www.bestbuy.com/site/tcl-55-class-6-series-4k-uhd-mini-led-qled-dolby-vision-hdr-roku-smart-tv-55r635/6424672.p?skuId=6424672 The issue lies in the fact that it is out of stock at a lot of places and he is not able to have it shipped to his house (lives in a bad neighborhood) so trying to find a site to store option. Does anyone know either where we could find this specific TV in stock or be able to provide similar options in the same price range. Considere
  5. Are you running it from a HDD or SSD? Having it on an SSD could help considerably considering how much the game needs to load in new assets.
  6. Look at my post earlier in this thread. It has links to help with overclocking the GPU; software and instructions video.
  7. Look into overclocking it using MSI Afterburner. I have my 1070ti water-cooled and overclocked to push it to its absolute limit. Also download a benchmarking tool, a lot of them are free. Watch the video below to get an idea of how to tweak setting and then benchmark for stability. It is easier than it first appears and you'll enjoy finding out how far you can push the hardware. The GPU has limiters that will cause it to shut down if it is at risk of damaging itself so take it to the silicon's limit. https://www.techradar.com/best/best-benchmarks-software https://www.ms
  8. Completely solid build all around. Only 2 things I would consider: - What is the recommended RAM speed for the Ryzen 5 3600? If it recommends a faster speed/can handle a faster speed then get a faster kit to fully utilize your CPU. - Possibly go with the B550 MOBO. If the price comparison isn't too terrible, step up to the newest MOBO which will give you more support for longer and the ability to swap to a better AM4 CPU down the road.
  9. Was my exact thoughts, I would look into recommended ram speeds for the 3700x and try to match it up. With your AIO and x570 motherboard, you have some room to OC the CPU and with the decent airflow you can pull through the case, some room to OC the GPU as well. Only recommendation I would say is to get a big ass HDD and download every game you own, you most certainly have the rig to place it. Welcome to PC gaming in all its glory.

I would just make sure your fan curves scale with the CPU so as it climbs, everything scales up to get that hot air our of the case. Did you end up finding a good set of quiet fans? I was th
  11. F for that heatsink. Could have been worse and make sure you get all that liquid metal cleaned up and around the socket is sealed before using it again.
  12. I respect the hustle and happy to hear you made some cash on it. I dabbled with building PCs locally a few years back during the first mining crisis and I was just breaking even. The process was a lot of fun and you learn a ton about diagnosing build issues but not interested in dabbling with it again.
  13. Thanks for the suggestions, I will dig into these options and see what I can stir up. Unfortunately, I agree that most everything is Chinese made to one extent or another but if I can avoid companies directly like Apple or Xiaomi I will try, at least for my friend's sake.
  14. https://www.washingtonpost.com/technology/2020/12/29/lens-technology-apple-uighur/ The plan was to not get something Chinese based, this includes Apple too since their supply chain has been tied to forced labor camps. Ya'll not keep up with the news?
  15. I am helping my buddy find a new laptop for his wife. She is using some older Apple laptop and was looking for something similar. She already has a beefier laptop for her engineering work but is looking for something something lighter, emphasis on the lap part. Criteria: Smaller and lighter a plus since she is a 90 pound Vietnamese woman A price range wasn't given to me but I would imagine a budget of $1,000 Nothing needed high end graphics wise since this is just causally web surfing and shopping Options from a non-Chinese company because she would prefer to not supp
  16. I would like to see LTT look into ergonomic office equipment in the work place. Standing desks, blue light filtering glasses, vertical mouse, ergo chairs, etc: It would be good to see what equipment is currently being used at your company What LTT employees would like to get to improve their work environment and reduce risk of injury Possibly partner with supplier to advertise equipment and improve the LTT office Would be educational for viewers to help them know what they could get to improve their workspace, whether working at home or in an office. 17. Yeah after I posted mine, I saw Skiiwee29's post and was blown away by the price point on the Artic fans. Yeah op can definitely hit his target price and still get really good quality fans.
  18. Under $20 for something quality and quiet is a stretch unless you find something on sale or second hand. Below are 2 links: Noctua, the makers of the ugly brown fans also make them in solid black with interchangeable accent pieces. They are some of the quietest and best quality you can get. My entire system is brown and tan Noctuas and dead silent. https://www.amazon.com/Noctua-NF-A14-PWM-chromax-Black-swap-Premium/dp/B07655KF5C/ref=sr_1_4?dchild=1&keywords=Noctua&qid=1611702462&s=electronics&sr=1-4 Be Quiet fans below; they are c
  19. I have used windows keys from G2A before without issue,. I do use paypal when using G2A to ensure the additional protection when making a purchase. I know Paul's Hardware has good video about getting windows keys on the cheap. It is older but still works as far as I know.
  20. Super happy it all worked out! Yeah the variations between motherboards can be frustrating, even for experienced PC builders.
  21. Try setting the speed and only run 1 stick at a time. This will help you sort out if one of the sticks is not hitting its projected speeds. Make sure your bios on the motherboard is up to date. Make sure the ram is in the right slots and is able to properly run in dual channel since this mobo has 4 slots. Keep us posted!
  22. I would donate it to someone you know who could use it. I am the PC guy in my friend group so I get old parts and what not, slap together a system, and give it away. Just gave my friend Jason a decent older rig; 1st gen i7 (still surprisingly good), gtx 750, 16gb ddr ram, etc. Even with it being an older spec system, it was leaps and bounds better than his laptop and allowed us to play some Age of Empires. Currently compiling an older i3 smaller system to give to my friend Stef's 9 year old daughter Hanna. She is getting to the point of writing papers in school and wanted to explor
  23. I want to get one and paint it chiral gold. Getting some serious Death Stranding vibes from the mask and the pandemic as a whole. Any other porters in this thread? Keep on keeping on!
  24. Similar question to OP so following to see how this shakes out
