ryzen 3100 vs 2600

Go to solution Solved by SavageNeo,

well 3100 is much better at single core tasks.

at rendering 2600 is little bit faster but 3100 is so good that it is close to 2600's multi core performance. (-20% or so)

depends on yoru exact budget but 3100 would be better in my opinion

Edit: 3100 is better at editing. 2600 in rendering times.

I'm super confused with 3100 & 2600, some say 3100 is better for video editing in adobe premiere & others suggest 2600 is way better for having more cores & threads, anyway all i care about is to add more filter, effects and overall a good editing experience rather than faster rendering time 😐

well cpu z is not really good benchmark.

but looking at cinebench socres it seems like 2600 is fairly bit faster than the 3100 at multicore

If video editing is all you do, you will benefit more from having 6 cores and 12 threads on 2600 instead of 4 cores and 8 threads on 3100.

pair 2600 with 3600 MHz ram, while 3100 is limited to 3200.

that is simply wrong.

2600 is Zen + which has problems reaching higher than 3200mhz.

3100 is Zen 2 whic has no problems reaching 3600mhz. ram speed is not by cpu on AMD it is by architechture of the cpu. Zen, Zen+, Zen 2 and Zen 3. Zen 2 and Zen 3 has really no problems running 3600mhz while Zen could nto even achieve 3000mhz on most cases. Zen+ could do 3000mhz and sometimes would nto work with 3200mhz

Looking at benchmarks 2600 is around 20% faster than 3100 at multiscore nad 15% faster than 3300x

I know, I'm sorry about the RAM, it was bad on my part, don't worry. I had just opened AMD's site when I received your notification. Thanks for correcting.
