Yes. Mining doesn't really depend on your motherboard. It just needs a GPU (typically).

Yea you can mine on your gaming pc, have you tried.

You can add another gpu if you want.

Do you have a budget in mind?

I've been mining the last few days with nicehash, earning approx. $2 a day with my GTX 1060 6GB

But I'm willing to invest some money to try and make some (Long term) I only use my PC for warzone and cad drawings for approx. 10 hours a week so it might as well be making money.

I would like to keep the extra GPus separate from my PC, with a separate PSU. How would I link 4 + GPUs to currant setup?

You can buy a second pc for this, there are lots of mining board and cases and psus out there to use.

Id probably argue its a pretty bad investment, as the market will probalby crash again soon, and profilts will go down again.

Id just get a seperate pc, don't like it to your main pc.

I did also think about this, I have a work unit I could leave it at so I don't have to pay for the power.

Could you recommend a setup for me?

How much money you looking to spend?

Get those pcie x1 risers, get a mining chassis, here is one on amazon, https://www.amazon.com/xlpace-Steel-Miner-Mining-Ethereum/dp/B085T2BSFG/ref=dp_prsubs_2?pd_rd_i=B085T2BSFG&psc=1

Get a big psu, and board with lots of x1 slots, and a cheap cpu + ram

Id probably just start by getting a 3080 for your main pc, and a better psu if needd, then get a second one. THen you just have one box to deal with.
