<svg> tag HTML(5 ?)

Jeroen1322

hi guys!

I saw in some source code the <svg> tag and i was wondering what it was and what you can do with it.

The code went like this:

<svg viewBox="0 0 180 320" preserveAspectRatio="none"><path d="M 180,160 0,262 0,0 180,0 z"/></svg>

Inside a <figure> tag.

Can someone explain it to me?

Thanks! :)

Read this article, it explains it pretty simple.

It defines graphics in XML formats.
