Hi! This may sound a bit weird but...whenever I touch my graphics card, my system just freezes and then reboots. I don't usually touch it phisically, if I want to see the temperatures and voltages I do it by software, but sometimes there may be some other person on my computer and I just place my hand over it to see if it's too hot (atm it's summer where I live, and when temps are too high I just leave the case open for better airflow). I firstly thought this might be a temperature problem, since it started to happen a day ago, when there was doing around 32ºC (90F)...but today temps are much lower, so I don't think I has to do with that?

I read it could be a powersupply or cpu problem, but I've been with the same specs for years now and they have been working fine just until a few days ago. Other than that, computer works just like always.

Some clue about what it could be?

What power supply, motherboard and cpu are you using and temps on the GPU? Without seeing your temperatures, your GPU thermal paste could be getting old if you've had it for a few years.

I'm not actually trying to be as grumpy as it seems.

I will find your mentions of Ikea or Gnome and I will /s post.

I have a 450W XFX powersupply alongside a i5-7400, motherboard is an asrock hdv h110m and temps on gpu:

While resting, it sits around 29º (it's 23º outside. During winter it usually stays around 23-25º), and usually gets to 55-65º under heavy load. It's a gtx 1050ti, it shouldn't draw too much voltage.

Oh, and I usually change thermal paste every 6 or 7 months, last time I did it was like...a few months ago? So yeah, I don't really know what to think of this 😕

I own a 1050 ti, it generally doesn't draw more than what it can take from the slot. i don't think that the thermal limit would do it, because its a 1050 ti. 450 watts should be more than enough for an i5 and a 1050 ti. check the cardd for any physical damage (burn marks, blown capacitors, etc?) take pictures of gpu under heatsink and pls post here.

I'll post one right away when I can, but I can already tell you that it dosen't seem to have any problem or noticeable marks of anything, nor does it make any weird sounds at all. It works just fine and I can do everything I've always done, it's just this weird thing that started to happen for no apparent reason?
