Wii U gamepad not charging

So yes, I was one of those people who bought a Wii U ( and No, I didn't get it because of the ads). I've been wanting to play some games on it lately, however, the gamepad is no longer charging. I believe its just the port is the problem. If anyone has an advice on how to do it, that would be swell.

not an easy fix if you don't know how to solder but here you go

Before you replace any parts of the gamepad, first try a new charging cable, a different outlet etc

Can you get your hands on a charging dock for the game pad? That doesn't use the charging port.

I do have one. it doesn't work either. i might be a battery problem or its the charging cable.
