But why.. my whole system is 170w... let's say it's 200 .. 3080 it's 320 - 360 (spikes) 200 + 360 = 560w

Go with a high quality 750W unit if possible. Some 650W may work, but it's definitely hit or miss, and depends on the CPU, I wouldn't buy one for a 3080

Current System: Ryzen 7 3700X, Noctua NH L12 Ghost S1 Edition, 32GB DDR4 @ 3200MHz, MAG B550i Gaming Edge, 1TB WD SN550 NVME, SF750, RTX 3080 Founders Edition, Louqe Ghost S1

Power spikes.

Plus your whole system is probably more like 550W or more, those calculators don't work well imo.

You should get a higher wattage, better unit

Maybe. The CX-M is tier C though I believe, so I would go with something better

Current System: Ryzen 7 3700X, Noctua NH L12 Ghost S1 Edition, 32GB DDR4 @ 3200MHz, MAG B550i Gaming Edge, 1TB WD SN550 NVME, SF750, RTX 3080 Founders Edition, Louqe Ghost S1

So depending on the 3080 it can pull as low as 320w or as high as 450w alone. Then toss in your CPU with PBO and you are already looking at a power issue. Then you have to account for your drives, mobo, fans, lights, peripherals, etc.

Trying to be more realistic with their numbers and adding a realistic number of fans + usb devices brings the total to...  708w recommendation. I would go for a good quality 750-800 watt and call it a day.

you overclocked 3080 up to 1900 mhz and 10% more power...

Because it's double forward and can't handle the powerspikes of 3070 and higher.
