opinions on my future build?

linusface

the total cost of all parts is close to 2k

EVGA GeForce RTX 3080 XC3 BLACK GAMING(i might be able to pull a better 3080 version from evga but for now this will be the one i'll probably end using which cost is 799)

AMD Ryzen 5 5600X(369 bucks where i live)

Crucial Ballistix RGB 3200 MHz DDR4 DRAM 2x16gb (around 179)

Seasonic FOCUS GX-750 750W 80+ Gold Full-Modular(159)

SSD Western Digital WD Blue 3D NAND, 1TB, M.2(104)

Cooler Master MasterBox TD500 Mesh(123)

ASRock ATX B550 Steel Legend(183)

DeepCool Castle v2 liquid cooler(171)

this would be my first pc,probably playing most pf my games on high-ultra settings.

+i cant decide between a 4k60hz monitor and a 1440p 144hz both on the same price, better image quality or more fluent experience,

no intents on doing oc but if i wanted to do it some time in the future would i be able to do it or do i bein the  need to upgrade some parts

main games arma 3 flight simulator dcs lot of vr games on high-ultra ,minecraft with heavy mods star citizen when it comes out and more games

This is a very debatable topic these days.

The correct answer is , "whichever you prefer"

I prefer 4k 60 because I kinda had my fill of high refresh rates and 1080p 20 years ago and value quality over refresh rate. But mostly I do not play competitive online fps video games , so beyond that , high refresh rate monitors don't really bring much to gaming for me. I don't gain much from playing sim city in 144hz or playing need for speed in 144hz.

Since you dont intend on OCing and its your first PC dont get the watercooler, stick with the stock cooler for the 5600X. If you drop the watercooler that part of the budget could go into an 850w power supply or getting a WD Black SSD instead of Blue. Also you don't really need 32gb of ram, you be better off with 16gb (2x8gb) 3600mhz cl16.

Since your games are fs2020, minecraft, and star citizen as opposed to more competitive first person shooter focused games I would recommend the 4k60hz monitor, if it has gsync that would be great.
