Is it okay to use 2x molex to 6 pin pcie adapter to a gtx 1070ti?

I'm new to LTT forums so I'll just make it quick

So basically I have this 500watt PSU which belongs to aerocool the rave series

And I have a gpu that is a Msi gtx 1070ti gaming X is it safe to use a 2x molex to 6pin pcie since my PSU only have 1 pcie 6+2pin

My whole system unit:

Ryzen 5 2600

Asus Ex A320m Gaming

Patriot Viper steel 3000mhz 2*8gb no rgb

Gtx 1070ti Msi gaming X

6fans and 1 fan controller hub

120gb ssd 1tb hdd

In the outer vision PSU calculator my whole system unit draws about 380ish watts I forgot

And my 12V rating for my PSU is 456watts

Well would you rather have to buy a new PSU now or a new system later.

Using molex to PCIe for an extended period of time is a bad idea if you want the system to live long.

That is for a short period definitely not long term.

I will recommend an NHu12s (or an NHd15 (maybe)) for your PC build. Quote or @ me @Prodigy_Smit for me to see your replies.

Tech yes city does a lot of things that aren't recommended to coddle the budget buyers etc.

That's more about views and subs than anything else. In other words BAD information.

And they are not at all recommended as any sort of real solutions.

So I won't be able to use my system then even if it can power the whole system the only problem is the molex to 6 pin?

Yes, that's correct.

You need to BUY a new PSU.

And no, the PSU is also a problem and needs to go anyway.

Then wait until you do.

Nobody would likely buy it anyway as it's outdated and very low quality.

And if you don't have the money for a new PSU then how long would it take you to save for a whole new PC.

That is the risk here.

Then why doesn't it have the connections needed for your GPU?

The GPU takes 1X 6+2 (8 Pin) and 1X 6 Pin.

Well like we have been saying.

You need to get a new PSU, and a good quality one.

Something like a Corsair CX550M.
