Light mode has its uses, but on Discord it's just very poorly implemented. Feels like it's just inverting the colours instead of an actual, well-designed light mode.

So yeah I use dark mode on desktop and OLED dark mode on mobile.

Before I hated Dark Mode because the implementation was poor and often just inconsistent across websites, applications, and OSes. I still use Dark Mode on Windows but I would say its implementation is far from perfect. Basic Windows elements like system messages are still displayed in a light theme. Particularly elements that are pretty much carried over from previous version of Windows are the worst offenders.

Though to be fair... some Windows 10 elements are like that too...

How does this relate to Discord? As others have mentioned, Light Mode is just implemented poorly. The clash in design styles just puts me off.

Dark Mode all the way.

Light Mode is just garish.

As for Windows, Dark Mode still.

My TN panels that are old enough to both have have VGA suck at high contrast.

I bet someone somewhere has a plugin that fixes it.

I much rather Microsoft postpone its release to perfect it even more. MacOS does a much better all-round job even though some app installers still don't have a dark theme implementation. But it's still a much more consistent experience where even basic elements like message boxes are given the dark theme treatment. Microsoft, who green lit this? I shouldn't need to rely on some shady plugin to make it right.

I don't bother switching it so it's always in dark mode, but I keep on switching my browser between them depending on the time of day.

I will try this out. Usually these kind of extensions don't do a great job.

It's harder to find a great stylesheet for Stylus but the result will be much nicer.

I don't mind light theme on websites, but discord's light theme is horrible. The black text and outlines doesn't look right with the white.
