Airpods Randomly mute on none Apple devices .

I have the original Airpods 1 ,as my phone is an Iphone and that makes sense. However for some reason when I connect it to my Windows laptop or even linux it randomly mutes it's self while listening to anything, but if I refresh what I'm listening to or reconnect the Airpods it works again. This has been happening for months and it is driving me crazy.

Well if the problem is that my router is close to the laptop than that is a shitty design on apples part, but I don't think that's the case. I did try reconnecting it but it keeps muting it self and it does happen both while streaming video/audio or while just listening to downloaded content ;though it is way more common while streaming. So I am really thankful for the advice but unfortunately it's still does it. 

Note: It works perfectly on my phone
