Friend needs a ARGB controller for 9 fans!

Get the B550 Steel Legend.

It supports PCIe 4.0, which B450 doesn't, and while it won't mean much now, it will be nice in the future.

Hello guys! My friend has 9x ARBG fans with 3 pin argb and 4 pin fan headers. He will buy the b450 steel legend. It has only 1x3 pin rgb port. So he need a controller that can take 9 fans' rgb and output it as 1x 3pin ARGB to the motherboard. Are there any controllers that could do that? We live in Finland.

 

Note: going with b550 steel legend is possible but it costs 50€ more than the b450 variant. but the b550 board has 2x 3pin ARGB headers, so he could just buy 2x splitters. 

 

What is wiser? Go with b550 steel legend, or 9 fan controller.

Get the B550 Steel Legend.

there is an convertor to go from 4pin rgb header to 3pin argb device but i dont recommend it and its not guaranteed to work and wil make your argb dume and act like rgb... also you would still need a hub to hook that may fans up.

 

thing to note is an argb header can only handle 3amps of argb stuff so keep that in mind. thats why i recommend an powered up as it gets power from your psu.

 

i would recommend an powder hub from sata or molex.
