Hi all,
One of my relatives wants to buy a Dell Optiplex 7060 (the non-sff model) and fit a gpu like a 1070 in it. This brings up some problems such as the PSU and the GPU clearance. We read that you may need to remove the HDD cage in order to fit longer GPUs in the case. This also brings up the issue that the PSU would need to be replaced as the wattage of the default PSU would not be enough to support a 1070.
Does anyone have any experience with swapping PSUs in these pcs? Do they use proprietary connectors like what HP does with their EliteDesks?

If it's 3 fans, probably, but for 2 fans version i think it will fit.

As for the gpu, better look it, if it has 24 pins normal atx connector, you don't need a converter.

If not, you may need one.

For the PSU, you can check the rating, find the 12v on the specs and times that with the amperage rating, you should get the potential wattage.

That should be at least 450w.
