Need some help with M2-ssd

Hello there, I am switching motherboard and cpu from an Lenovo 36d9 and an Intel i-5 7400, to an Asus ROG Strix x570 E and an amd ryzen 7 5800x. My question is: will my current m2-ssd work with the new motherboard, or do i need to do anything special?

Do you perhaps have a picture or product number of the M.2 drive you have now?

Keep in mind it is not recommend to re-use the same installation of Windows, it's more recommended to reinstall Windows

@Lukas081 Your m2 drive will work fine with the rog strix. I'd be surprised if it didn't. You need to reinstall windows though.

I think you mean m.2 SSD drive. It should work still with your new motherboard, however you might have to reinstall Windows or clone your current Windows system it before you transfer the m.2.
