Kinda bummed but I think you guys did save me from making a pretty useless mistake here, overkill SOUNDS cool but could be a waste.. final question then ill stop driving everyone insane..

 

Can you have more then 1 and NOT use SLI unless its called for?

If you like building and have that sort of money to spend ( i assume around 10k), build 10 1k builds and donate them to some kids that struggle with online school.

It will be 10 times more fun, as you get to build 10 pcs, you can make each of them unique in terms of looks and components and at the end of the day, you won't feel like you wasted 10k on a space heater.

I have actually done that several times, and more.. As a Freemason we give back in pretty much every way we can ALL the time, in and outside of the lodge

Anyway, a 5950x with 64gb of ram and one 3090 is already overkill. More than that is just e-waste that will contribute to pollution and global warming without producing anything in its lifetime.

That will never happen. Nvidia is killing off SLI as well as AMD and their CrossFire. Its a dead technology that is hardly optimized for games and see a diminishing return, unless your a scientist/researcher and need that computing power. 

 

If you want to go overkill, go with a single RTX 3090, 5950X, and however much RAM you want.
