Legion 7i Slim Testing

I finally decided to ugrade from my HP Envy Dv6. I landed on the Lenovo Legion 7i Slim. Since the order went in Lenovo has "Announced" the AMD version in coming soon section of their website.  

 

I'm wondering what sort of benchmarks or tests I should be running it through when it shows up.  I am to make sure I'm getting good value. I am open to waiting longer for another laptop but I'm hoping this might be the one.  

 

I'm thinking of getting a Xbox game pass trail to run some AAA games.  I'll run Cinebench, The blender test for sure.  I'm going to try some sort of battery test.  But this will be my first time doing this sort of thing. 
 

So I was hoping someone on here would have some ideas as to things I should definitely do and not miss.  

 

Side questions. Whould you should intel and TB3 or AMD and just USBC 3.2 Gen 2?
