Z11 to R4 build log

Hi guys!

 

I didn't like my Zalman Z11 and everybody was like "euhmagawhd the R4 is awesome!!" and i always liked the R4 so i ordered one.

 

It arrived today and i inmediatly started THE switch! Here are some pictures (Not much and taken with a patato).. (Some pics are to big so i can't upload them :P )

Looks good, but why is your cpu cooler so awkwardly mounted? Shitty AMD mount? Remove one of those air blockers then.

My CPU cooler? Well it was the only position i could mount it correctly.. I don't really have a problem with it tho! :)

Me and @Ivyk did the same last week haha! From a Z11 to a Define R4.

Usually the cooler is turned the other way that's why it's "odd"

Yeah but i wanted to keep it as quiet as possibe so down was the best option otherwise it wouldn't get much air exept if i would remove the foam on the top and that would increase the noise.

If I were you I would tidy the cables up a bit, other than that it looks good. I zip tied mine to make sure when the side panel is on they aren't visibly in front of things like the hard drive cages at the bottom

With today's technology I often wonder why we don't have colonies on the moon or Mars. Then I go to Wal Mart for 5 minutes and realize the vast majority of the human populace isn't ready for such things.
