I was trying to install windows onto my Asus Tuf x570 plus and I needed to enter my bios. I followed the manual pressed control alr delete restart, soft power off, soft power on.I then held down the del key when I may have been supposed to hold delete. The computer now won’t post but my keyboard mouse and whole entire pc will turn on. How can I fix this?

If the issue is the UEFI protection not letting you enter the bios you can enter by holding SHIFT as you click on restart at the windows menu, it should take you to the help screen where you can go to fix problems and it should show the option to enter to the firmware menu, it should go into the bios after finishing rebooting.

I think with windows 10 you can only enter the bios after a reset, shutting down doesnt allow you to go in the bios.

Mystery is the source of all true science.

I am just trying to set up windows so I don’t think that would work

if you had uefi selected instead of legacy bios it would take several failed restarts before the motherboard would let you into the bios again.

Thanks I will keep restarting trying to get it to work. I’m pretty sure I did click UEFI
