Is my motherboard compatible with my CPU?

So does that’s mean that any Intel 8th or 9th gen processor that supports the socket but has a letter at the end isn’t compatible?

The F just means it has no integrated graphics. The K means it can be overclocked.

Both will work fine on B365, you can’t overclock the K processor but it’ll operate normally otherwise.

Hi all, I plan to buy a Gigabyte B365M DS3H and a i5 9400F for my new very first build to sell, I’m worried that it may not be compatible because I went to many different websites and places, and many of them either said that it’s compatible, or that it’s not compatible

Any help? Thanks

B360 = 8th gen (i5 8400) and 9th gen only with a bios update

B365 = B360 with that bios update installed from the factory

It is compatible with the i5 9400 and any other 9th gen or 8th gen LGA 1151 processor
