Re-installing pc with AMD StoreMi

Ruo94

Hi all

I'm reinstalling my PC but I have a tiered drive that I wanna keep. It's not my boot drive so I wont be fromatting it but since I have to uninstall the StoreMi program, I'm not sure how to proceed with that.

I think I need to separate the tiered drive, then do a full uninstall of StoreMI, then go on with my pc reinstalling.

Just asking to be sure!

also wanted to know if the upgrade to FuzeDrive is free for Ryzen users, since AMD discontinued storeMi

thanks!

Is this store mi 1 or store mi 2?

Id just backup the volume, then make the new store mi volume, and restore all the files.

StoreMi 1
problem with that is I dont think I have enough storage to back these up xD
i could buy another drive since its boxing day doh 🤪

Id really make a backup and buy another drive for that. Drives can fail at any time with no warning.

It's no longer distributed or supported, but if you found a copy of StoreMI v1.5.3, all you would need to do is install it after you reinstall Windows and you'll have access to your data again. To get updates and support for your tiering software, you would need to pay for FuzeDrive. There was a half-price upgrade offer earlier this year when StoreMI v2 was announced, but unfortunately that offer has expired.
