B365M and Intel Pentium G4560 | No POST and CPU LED

My uncle got me a MSI B365M Pro VH and an Intel Pentium Gold G4560 for Christmas this year. When I press the power button, the CPU LED turns on for like 1/4 of a second then off. Is this compatible?

As Someone with the username “</TheCoder2019_”, my coding skills are atrocious.

Here are my specs:

No. The Pentium G4560 is a 6th gen CPU. 6th and 7th gen CPUs are only compatible with the 100 and 200 series motherboards, e.g. h110, B250, Z170 etc.

Despite having the same socket, it is not compatible with the 300 series boards, like the H310, Z370, and the B365 you have. Those are for 9th and 10th gen CPUs.

If you have a gift receipt, try trading the Pentium G4560 in towards a Core i3 9100F, because that CPU won't work with that motherboard.

The mobo box says that it will not work with the F suffix CPUs

It will, but not without a graphics card. The F CPUs don't have an integrated graphics card, which is why they're cheaper - you need a GPU to get a display signal.

Will the wrong chipset ruin both parts? Kind of my first build

Quote people or they won't be notified of your replies.

No, but it just won't work so I don't see why you want to try.
