I have had a RTX 3070 since release. I didn't notice much of a performance boost compared to my GTX 1060 6GB but thought it was due to poor drivers. My friend now has the same PC rig as me, (Ryzen 5 3600, RTX 3070, 16GB RAM) and he doubles my FPS in most games whilst having graphics even higher!! I have checked temps and they are fine, I have ran benchmarks and they say also that my GPU is underperforming? Any ideas of a fix? setting I am missing?

Before you suggest uninstall and reinstall drivers I have tried that multiple times with DDU and have also installed fresh windows but to no avail :(

What resolution are you both playing at?

I will recommend an NHu12s (or an NHd15 (maybe)) for your PC build. Quote or @ me @Prodigy_Smit for me to see your replies.

Are your system specs identical or just similar? Is you PSU providing enough juice? The card should smash the 1060 with ease. What's your case airflow situation like and what temps are you actually running at compared to your friend?

Specs are identical, same CPU, same motherboard, same GPU. My PSU should be covering it fine. Temps are around 50-60 degrees both GPU and CPU
