I haven't build a new PC in like 10 years so I think I hooked everything up correctly but now I"m worried I didnt.

I had a few issues once I got it into BIOS.

1. My 3070 only had 1 fan running, the left one, the other two were doing nothing. It seems like quite a bit of heat was coming from the card and only one was running, after 30 minutes, only that 1 running. So whats up with the other 2?

2. My 5900x seems to be high on temps, it started around 47c then got up to 60c with 30 minutes of BIOS idle, now I am using the: https://www.newegg.com/corsair-icue-h150i-rgb-pro-xt-liquid-cooling-system/p/N82E16835181192?Item=N82E16835181192

The fans where going pretty slow. I tried changing them in BIOS but that was a no go. Also 0 out of 3 fans didn't have any RGB on... I guess I can't turn the RGB on or control fan speeds until I install their program?

3. I have 32x4=128GB of memory, I was able to get it to run for 20 minutes at BIOS idle at 3600, seems to be stable and working.  But it was just weird because my memory in BIOS actually showed up as 131072, and I think each stick shows up at something around 32722MB..

4. Is it standard nowadays to use to cables for a GPU? I had to use 2 cables which were 6+2, does that sound right?

5. I have the Dark Hero motherboard and it has CPU power connections at the top.. it has 1 8pin then a space then another 4pin. I only plugged 1 thing into the 8pin, nothing in the 4pin. Is that wrong?

6. I also want the AIO cooler to EXHAUST since it's going in the top, I believe I did the fans correctly?

Here are 3 images, not running. I just set it up to make sure everything works and will POST, happy it does, but don't wanna mess anything up.

I know I'm a newbie, but I really don't wanna mess any of this hardware up since it costs tons. Please Help, can send images.

To 1 and 2. measuring temp in bios is somewhat not relevant as the system is only in basic mode configured. Boot into windows and install all drivers and then see if the idle temps creep up over time and see if the second gpu fan under load spins up. Only in an OS with all the drivers installed all the power management systems and other stuff is properly working, bios is just the basic mode. Report back after that, dont worry, if something gets to hot it shuts itself off befor anything really takes damage.

To 3. the conversion from gigabyte to megabyte and vice versa isn't plain factor 1000 but 1024.  checks out with your numbers more or less. Testing stability in bios again isn't a thing, boot windows and see if your applications or the whole pc crashes. Again, doesn't harm anything, but bios doesn't tax memory. Unless you have one of the fancy boards that has a built in memtest and u used it. But even that didn't show my instability problem with my pc i had every few months

To 4: what psu is this? The 6+2 is fine, but a standard 8 Pin would be better. Probably wont make a difference though

To 5: unless your overclocking it probably will be fine, if you have another eps 4pin on your psu plug it in. Can but probably won't lead to stability problems if not populated

To 6: as far as i can tell yes

TLDR, boot in actual windows, install all drivers and then report back, until then everything related to stability and temps and spinning fans is more or less void

I'm going to bed, will install Windows tomorrow. I don't wanna deal with trying to figure out where to plug all these fans, I have Phanteks P500a case.

So all 3 of the GPU fans turn ON when I start the PC then stop, I guess they have some fan curve and that's normal? But what if I want them on all the time? Where do I go to set that up? It's the GIGABYTE AORUS GeForce RTX 3070.

Here is the PSU: https://www.newegg.com/seasonic-prime-ultra-titanium-ssr-850tr-850w/p/N82E16817151196?Item=N82E16817151196

This is what is included with the PSU cable wise:

1 x Main Power 24/20 pins
2 x CPU 4/8 Pin
6 x PCI-E 6/8 Pin
10 x SATA
5 x Peripheral
1 x FDD

I hope I didn't pick a bad PSU. The only 4pin I see cables wise is a 8pin that goes to 2 4pins, I guess I could plug one of the 4pins in... if needed?

The fans on AIO so slow, no RGB, I guess I do that in the software?

Just report back when anything still doesn't work then tomorrow

Thats a good sign, looks like it. There a many pieces of software you can use, but the most popular is MSI Afterburner (and yes it does work with any gpu brand and manufacturer, not just msi). There you can set custom fan curves. Though from factory they should turn on as soon as it gets over a certain temperature, most times 60 °C.

Yes, use one of the 4 Pins. Be aware, that if I remember correctly only one of the 2 should fit because of the keying of the plug. But as you already have one, just plug it in so you dont need to troubleshoot weird phenomena down the line should anything happen.

You could do that within software, yes

And most times in Bios too.

I tried to change some fan stuff in BIOS, it only showed 1 fan... So I don't know. I had the 3 fans from the AIO connected.. I think I plugged it into correct spots. The 3pin from teh AIO cooler I plugged into my CPU_FAN top right..

I can't even get After Burner to download.

So I did end up installing Windows and I got MSI AfterBurner and I can control my fan speed at X temp, but what about my RGB on the video card? I dont see anything for that?

As for the CORSAIR iCUE H150i, I can get the fans somewhat controlled, highest they went was 1400 then 30 seconds later went to 1k, then stayed at 800 with them on Extreme, guess it depends on the temps which speed they will run?

But I CANNOT get the RGB fans working with the CORSAIR iCUE H150i, when I load up the ICUE software Under 'Lighting Effects', I only see it says '1', and its the CPU pump which I can change and control, I don't see the fans in there nor do they have color.

I plugged the 3 fans into the 3 fan cords that come from the pump, put the USB to my USB on motherboard which controls the pump lights, then I connected that SATA connection, what else is there to do? What am I missing? I even plugged 1 fan into my CHA FAN on my motherboard and nothing, it didnt read it for CHA FAN, but no RGB.... Could this be a power issue? I dont know! This is the only issue.

I also did do the Windows install, and installed like 7 programs, monitoring stuff, AfterBurner, GPU drivers, etc, and it all ran well, no crashes or anything, so it seems the 3600MHz will be good.

So whats up with RGB on GPU and cooler?! :(

Help!

I might have gotten ripped off like others. I don't think the fans are RGB....I think?

Seems like this is a misconception that TONS of people are making.

So with my case, I have 4 fans, the first front 3 will be plugged into CHA FAN 1, 2, and 3, right? Where should I plug the 1 in the back? Again, I have the Dark Hero. NOTE: All 4 are RGB.
