Install windows on a DOS Free laptop

NystriX
Go to solution Solved by mariushm,

You can simply boot from USB stick and install any Windows you want.

They ship it with FreeDOS because it's open source and free, so it works around some legal requirements in some countries, which force Asus to ship laptop with an operating system and for laptop to be "ready for use" (you can show it's working by typing some dos commands)

So you can use a usb stick , or a USB cd/dvd/bluray or boot from network if the laptop has network card and install windows or any linux or whatever.

Hey I'm looking for a laptop and I found one in a fine price who met my demands

Buttttt it comes with a DOS Free OS, can I flash my totally legal windows copy on it or would the bios be locked?
