I am building a computer on a b450m ds3h mobo, this is my first build. Im either going with a ryzen 5 2600 or i might go with a 3600. Im just wondering will my motherboard support the 3600 or will i have to go through a bios update ?? I've been looking online and have gotten very different answers. I know that it may depend if your box has the "3000 series ready" logo on it but i am just looking for one last clear answer and i thought to go here. Anyways have a good one.

The motherboard will work the the Ryzen 5 3600, if you're on BIOS version F40 or newer: https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/B450M-DS3H-rev-10/support#support-cpu

Whether you are on that version, you can either check in the BIOS or using a program such as CPU-Z (it's there in the "Mainboard" tab).

Of course if you still have the box, you can check if it has that "Ryzen 3000 ready" logo on it too, but it boils down to having the right BIOS version.

That is your answer right there. If you purchase the box and it doesn't have that ryzen 3000 ready badge on it, you will be required to update the BIOS. If you're buying from a store and can see the box in person, you can know one way or the other but if you order online you won't know for sure until it arrives.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B
